WELCOME TO ONEG
“Welcome to Oneg” is a 10 min. gothic dark comedy, about a young man who interviews at a supernatural fast-food restaurant with a suspicious manager.
The story is set in an alternate world where supernatural creatures, called “ODS”, have come out of the shadows to be a part of society. “For all your craves from the graves!” is Oneg's slogan: a chain of restaurants that caters to this peculiar clientele's tastes.
Our human protagonist Murray is a sweet and eager young man who finds himself in the Manager's office of the branch. Despite the constant interruptions from the chaotic employees, he'll have to convince the no-nonsense Sheila that he can be a good fit.
Will Murray be accepted into the Oneg team?

About the film
Delphine Batier wrote Welcome To Oneg at the end of 2019, at a time where she was questioning her own choices regarding jobs she was applying to. Murray's journey through that interview is partially based on her experience as an immigrant who constantly feels the need to justify personal choices that others can't seem to grasp.
After months of set preparations, countless script revisions, and intense rehearsals with the actors, it was filmed in early 2020 in New York City. The shoot took place in one fully packed day in a completely redesigned one-room studio , just in time before quarantine started and film shoots were no longer possible. Although the pandemic slowed down its timeline, Welcome To Oneg's post-production managed to be completed right around Halloween.
After 2 years of festivals run, the film is now available to a public audience on YouTube.

The Cast
Oneg is composed of fresh faces that are worth remembering:
Keon Torres plays our shy yet enthusiastic Murray; Kristen Booth brings her tough no nonsense approach to our manager Sheila; and Ray Baptista is our overwhelmed but sweet assistant Frankie.
The production was extremely lucky to meet Kristen and Keon, whose performances immediately captured their characters during the first round of auditions. Keon came in to test for a different role and Kristen almost didn't make it, but the stars aligned just right. Meanwhile, Ray anticipated quarantine by sending the perfect home recording.
This wonderful cast rehearsed tirelessly for several weeks to hit the right balance of spook and comedy, and to made this long rollercoaster of dialogue sound easy breezy.
Kristen Booth is Sheila Ban
I am thrilled to have played the role of Sheila in Welcome To Oneg! The breakdown called for an “intimidating, bossy blonde in her forties,” and I chuffed at how spot-on that typecasting was. Of course, I was all in! It was the audition that almost never was, only to become the offer that restored my love for acting all over again, especially after meeting my castmates. Congrats, to Delphine and the Creative Team!
Keon Torres is Murray
“Welcome to Oneg was my first legit film offering a part that motivated me. I wanted to prove myself as a serious actor. I studied my character Murray to the fullest, wherever I went, whether home, outside, going to the store etc. I kept reciting my lines. I wanted to be Murray in my everyday life until I knew for 100% that I connected with the character. Delphine helped me a lot to understand who he was and what emotions he should have. I love the cast and crew. One of the best experiences in my life and a dream come true.”
Ray Baptista is Frankie
“I remember when I first saw the casting notice for ‘Welcome to Oneg’ and I was kind of shocked, in a good way, because I’ve never heard of a project like this. It sounded so unique and so interesting. At that moment I knew I wanted to be a part of that team. And I am so grateful that I got the opportunity to work on this project.”
