Laurent Batier is a French artist, who publishes under the name Desty.
He was born in 1984 in France, near Paris. He studied comics and illustration at the prestigious art school Ecole Pivaut in Nantes, where he now lives.
Desty enjoys fantasy worlds, and has a particular interest in drawing monsters and pretty girls. He sometimes likes to mix it all together to come up with some weird creatures! He mainly works in a traditionnal style with inks on paper, but uses Photoshop for colors, and sometimes 3D models for characters or backgrounds. He's recently appeared at the Polymanga and Fantasy basel conventions.
Posters, badges, bookmarks, and various prints from his original artwork are available for order.
Original orders of characters of your choice can be commissioned as well (real people, video game, manga, movies characters...).
Desty is Delphine Batier's brother, and frequent collaborator. He's designed art concepts of creatures and storyboards for several of her short films, including Between The Lines, A Human Game, and Remains.
